Bulgaria won the fourth edition of the Eurodanceweb Award with the song "Leden Svyat". This catchy mix of folk sounds and modern dance rhythms performed by Malina received top marks by two thirds of the jury members, thus placing first with the highest margin ever in the history of the Eurodanceweb Award: 67 points more than the Norwegian hit "Vil Ha Dig".

Another song with a strong ethno-folk touch ended in the top three. It was the Serbian and Montenegrin entry, entitled "Na Silu" by Djogani, which got 85 points.

A record number of 36 Countries took part this year, with three newecomers: the Principality of Liechtenstein, that placed 9th with "Das Licht" by Chris, Slovakia with the pop group P.S. and Ukraine, represented by one of its popular artists, Ani Lorak.
